CBH - Trilogue 2

THE CONSCIENCE (C), THE BRAIN (B), THE HEART (H)

B : Hey Heart … I can see that you seem to be feel some sort of pain. Share with me la.

H : With you? You are all Brain …all logic, all by the book … you are just a computer … only human blood flows through your system, not just electric impulses.

C : Like in a lap-top!

H : Wow conscience, you too have a sense of humor I see.

C : Please, I am human too.

B : Yep … we all are.

H : In other words you, you, I, we all feel.

B : So, as I was asking. You seem to feel pain… share it la.

C : Ya …. share it … makes me feel light too.

H : Nothing much … I just came back after seeing a funeral. Saw the old pa’ cik, a friend of my late father laid to rest.

B : That must have brought memories of your late father.

H : Yes .. many years ago, when my dad and this pa’cik used to ‘sembang’ politics. Now he too is laid to rest.

B : One day you and I will be laid to rest - only God knows the day

C : So you too …. I follow you clean and clear.

B&H : Ya, with a clear and light conscience.

H : Coming to the funeral … there were a small number of pa’cik’s family members and friends. I could recognize most of them. But I did not see pa’cik’s younger brother. He is younger only by a few years.

B : Maybe he was not well or out-station.

H : Nothing of that sort. A relative later told me he is well and fine living in a house a short distance away.

B : And yet he did not attend his own brother’s funeral?

H : Yes … I gathered that he had a minor misunderstanding with pa’cik and they were not on talking terms.

B : But the brother is dead and being buried. Surely all human beings are taught to show some compassion to another who is dead … all the more to a next of kin!

H : That’s what all the scriptures and mankind says.

B : Than why did not this younger brother forgive a by-gone matter and pay his last respects if not offer a prayer. It hurts.

H : Exactly … it hurts … it hurts.

C : Of course it hurts, if not now, later ….

H : How do you know?

C : Ha, ha … you are asking me. I am conscience remember? I prick both you, the Heart and you Brain as you both face death.

B : Really?

C : Yes Mr. Brain .. and yes Mr. Heart. You are both in a human being … a human being …. I will prick.

B : But, what if we don’t feel the prick? We do not want to allow it to prick!

C : Sure … you may become immune. But can you remain immune after you are dead and buried?

B&H : Good question!

THE BRAIN, THE HEART, THE CONSCIENCE

THE BRAIN (B), THE HEART (H), THE CONSCIENCE (C)
To recognize or to acknowledge

Conscience:
Hey! You both have been rather quiet for awhile. What’s brewing?

Heart:
Nothing seriously really … or maybe it is…..

Brain:
Ya … you can say that …especially when we are living in the midst of it.

C:Hmm…..I see….

B:You see, we both read about this gathering of the different groups of people to seek the blessings of God.

H:Ya. Groups of the different religions to offer their form of prayers but gathered in one hall.

C:So …..?

H:I wanted this human being in which we are stored to attend.

B:But I hesitated from directing this being from going.

H:I asked him why …. especially when it is for a humanitarian cause.

B:Yes, I agree it is for a humanitarian cause and they pray for the same but in their individual and different ways.

H:And so …. why do you hesitate?

B:You see my friend … but as you just said.. “different ways”…

H:Ya la. Different ways but the same purpose.

B:That’s it. Different ways ….

H:In other words “inter-ways”.

B:Why my friend why? You say “different ways” then you say “inter-ways” - that means inter-linked!

C:I see where you chaps are going.

B:Ya … why “inter-ways”? Why not “enter ways”? You have chosen your way ….. enter your way la and ask what you want.

H:Hey! hey! Check, why are you separating the ways? Why not along one way … the same way.

C:That would be ideal. Would it not?

B:Ideal yes. In practice no. In philosophy and in principle yes. But in practice not feasible.

C:Any why?

H:Ya…. and why…..?

B:Simple, some of the practices of some of the groups this being can recognise but can neither acknowledge nor accept. There is a basic difference.

H:Ya, you pointed that out to me.

B:And when you thought through you too hesitated.

H:Ya … I do.

B:That is what I am saying. You believe your way … the other believes his way. Let it so be … enter your way within you .. this inter-inter is emphasised and stressed for purposes public.

H:So you are saying when it comes to asking God .. do it yourself with your groups.

B:That’s right … you your way, I my way.

C:And pray the ways confluence at some point. So leave it to God … for He knows all and this is a play He wrote.

B and H: And we played our parts

C:Thank God!
